Investing
The process of investing requires a setting time of 24 hours. This is where a cast mold is made and a burn-out occurs. The burn-out, which is several hours, takes place in a kiln. This is the actual cooking of the mold and melting out of the wax mold. This prepares the cast for a precious metal to be poured in to set.
Clean Up and Finish
Once the precious metal is set, the cast is broken off to reveal the item. The jewelry is then primped, cleaned up and pre-polished before stones are set.
